Cocoa market losses during Covid-19

Losses in cacao fields might be up to 40% due to COVID19 restrictions deployed in transportation and labor force, reducing the output of the harvesting season.
It is also important to consider that prices have been retracting from US$ 2,948 to US$ 2,200 per metric tonne, due to the recent consumption habit shiftings.

During the first quarter of 2020, Peru´s cocoa exports resumed in US$ 36,659 millions 2% less compare to the same period last year.
