Varieties of Thai jackfruit

In Thailand there have been 2 major varieties of jackfruits;
1) Thongprasert - dark yellow, sweet, fragrant;
2) Yellow Malay - thick meat, no smell, light yellow.
However, the Thai government is planning to promote the farmings and exports of the "geographical indication" jackfruit; Nonghaeng as a new variety. This is because this province can grow jackfruits in vast areas and high production.
