Usually, the closer the end of the season the higher the prices. At this time, the still large amount of offers from Argentina have put pressure on Brazilian peanut suppliers. Currently, peanut is being traded at an average of 9% below two months ago when the season started. Raw runner 38/42 is being offered at USD 1,320/Ton FOB, USD 140/Ton below to offers collected in April. Bleached runner 38/42 is being offered at USD 1,420/Ton, a decrease of USD 130/Ton from two months ago. However, those who have been waiting to take advantage of it might be encountering difficulties to find other sizes. Current stocks are 95% in the size 38/42 and 5% in the size 40/50. Smaller sizes are no longer available.
