Apple exports have started from Karaman, Turkey to Thailand

The Turkish city of Karaman ranks 3rd in apple production with an annual production volume of 207 kmt. Thailand has recently become an important target for Turkish apple exporters and the first apple exports from Turkey to Thailand took place in the month of November. A major apple grower in Karaman was able to start the exports to Thailand with a shipment of 18 tons of apple.

The shipment, which contained 6 tons of Gala and 12 tons of Granny Smith apples, was prepared in accordance with the protocol conditions applicable to Thailand in the cold storage and packaging facility belonging to the grower.
