According to information provided by the Observatory of the Argentine Dairy Chain (OCLA), the increase in production was 7.8% in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period of 2019. This figure makes Argentina the country that increased its milk production the most at a global scale during that period since the global average of the main producers was 2%.
OCLA analyzed 14 countries/blocks, which account for almost 60% of world milk production. Following Argentina, the country that increased its production the most was Chile (6.3%), Uruguay (5.8%) and Belarus (5.3%). The report also showed one country (Ukraine) that actually reduced its production by 4.3%.
