Vietnam's Rice Exports Reached 36% YoY Growth in Turnover from Jan-23 to Sep-23

As of December 15, 2023, Vietnam has exported more than 7.93 million tons of rice, with a turnover of approximately USD 4.54 billion. This represents a 15.4% year-over-year (YoY) increase in volume and a 36% YoY increase in value. According to the General Department of Customs, rice exports from Jan-23 to Nov-23 to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) reached 4.58 million tons, a 25.6% YoY increase. Rice exports to China reached 896 thousand tons, a 10.9% YoY increase. The turnover of rice exports to these two markets reached 5.48 million tons, accounting for 72% of Vietnam's rice exports.
