In Aug-24, the average wholesale price of bluefin tuna in Italian fish markets saw a notable decline of 6.7% month-on-month (MoM) compared to Jul-24. The price dropped from approximately USD 26.25 per kilogram (kg) in Jul-24 to about USD 24.49/kg in Aug-24. This decrease is primarily due to seasonal variations and fluctuations in supply and demand, with increased availability during summer months leading to lower market prices.
