Turkish Dried Apricot prices have increased significantly during the summer of 2021, which negatively affected Europe's sales. However, Australia has increased its demand since then. Australia looks for higher sulfured products in dried apricots, and their demand is generally the highest quality possible. Therefore, increased prices didn’t affect Australian demand despite the price increase since quality remained the same. Instead, dried apricot gains more popularity every year, and now more recipes use apricots while cooking deserts. During 1 August 2021 - to 1 February 2022, Australia imported 2.440 thousand MT of dried apricots for USD 11.250 million, which is a 14% increase in quantity and a 59% increase in price compared to the previous year.
