Mexican avocado prices reached their highest average on November 22, 2023, particularly for larger calibers, and warehouse volumes are becoming scarce. Avocado prices for certain calibers are as follows:
32s: USD 60 to 75 per 25 pounds (lbs)
36s: USD 55 to 65/25lbs
40s: USD 45 to 55/25lbs
These calibers are expected to be harvested in the next couple of weeks in the main avocado-producing regions of Michoacan and Jalisco. For medium and smaller sizes, prices are anticipated to remain stable with good demand and sufficient volume in the market. Below are the quoted prices for medium and smaller sizes:
48s: USD 44/25lbs
60s: USD 33/25lbs
70s: USD 30/25lbs
84s: USD 28/25lbs
The arrival of small-sized fruit in the coming weeks is expected to lead to a decline in price trends.
