Mvomero's farmers in Morogoro, Tanzania, are losing an average of 30,000MT of vegetables annually due to bad roads that bar them from reaching domestic markets, mainly in cities. Farmers in three villages in Tchenzema ward, Mgeta division, are sometimes forced to throw their produce midway to markets due to vehicle breakdowns, primarily on the way from Morogoro to Dar es Salaam markets.
