The first line of products in the country with carbon-neutral meat certification was launched on Thursday (27). Developed by Embrapa (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation), carbon neutral meat is a seal of certification for beef production in systems with mandatory tree planting as a differential. In this system, trees neutralize or absorb enteric methane, exhaled by animals, and one of the main greenhouse gases.
