Cashew is a fruit of Brazilian origin. The northeast of Brazil is the perfect region for the cultivation of this plant. The states of Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte are the largest producers of cashew nuts in Brazil, the exporters located in these states have an advantage, the proximity to the main ports of the northeast such as Natal, Fortaleza and Suape. This ease in logistics stimulates exports and business with inconterm FOB. Northeast Brazil is South America's closest sea channel to Europe and North America.

The cashew harvest takes place between the months of September to December. However, exporters manage to store the nut under optimal conditions so that it can be producing throughout the year in a constant way. In this way, the Brazilian nut is on the market throughout the year. Regarding quality, Brazilian exporters have the main certifications in the market such as ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, IAF, SEDEX, KOSHER, CERES, IMO Control and others.
