Brazilian Raspberry Producers Experience Price Drop Due to Surplus Production in 2023

The surge in raspberry prices over the past few years prompted Brazilian raspberry producers to expand their cultivation areas significantly. However, this expansion has led to an oversupply situation in 2023, resulting in a significant and concerning price decrease. During W35, farmgate prices plummeted to USD 4.01/kg (BRL 20/kg), marking a threefold reduction compared to the highest price of USD 12.04/kg (BRL 60/kg) observed in 2022 and a twofold decrease compared to the lowest recorded price.
