Increased cassava exports from Vietnam

According to the General Department of Customs Vietnam, in the first seven-month in 2020, cassava export was estimated at 1.6 million tons with a value of 542 million USD, which increased 15.2% in volume and 3% in value, respectively, compared to that in the same period last year. China is still the largest importer of Vietnamese cassava. The total export volume of cassava and related cassava products to China in the first seven-month of this year reached 1.25 million tons, equivalent to 427 million USD, up 18% in volume, and 3.4% in value over the same period last year.
