Five Importers Hold the Corn Glucose Industry in Ecuador

The Ecuadorian corn glucose imports are monopolized by five large importers, allowing them to import the product at competitive prices due to the large volumes they buy. Over 60% of imported corn glucose is supplied by one Colombian importer, which allows for good deals with low pricing. Other smaller Ecuadorian importers have tried to import corn glucose but failed since the market is taken by well-established importers.
