Costa Rican Frozen Pineapple Exporters Waiting for Final Protocol to Export to China in 2023

Despite the announcement in 2019 allowing Costa Rican producers to export frozen pineapple to China, no company has received authorization from domestic Costa Rican authorities nearly four years later. In 2023, the delay is attributed to the authorities not defining the procedure to certify manufacturing facilities based on the protocol.
