The new season of Indian Hulled sesame seeds started in October, and the crop size is not very favorable. Due to unseasonal rain, it is forecasted that in 2022 the overall crop volume will be around 190K MT compared to 220K MT in 2021. The demand from China is expected to increase once COVID restrictions end. The Indian consumption of sesame seeds increases in winter, so prices are forecasted to rise until January 2023.
