Demands for Frozen Cooked Eel Fillet (Unagi Kabayaki) Is Being Faced With Limited Supply in Indonesia for W51

Demands for frozen cooked eel fillet (unagi kabayaki) are coming from Asian countries as one of the largest suppliers in Indonesia is unable to meet the requirement due to the limited availability. According to the Java-based supplier, eel harvest happens every two years to meet the minimum size required by the market, 250-500grams/fish. The cooked eel fillet size starts from 75 up to 120 grams, but the latter size being a favorite for the foreign market is too low availability to fulfill the demands. The supplier is packing the product in its brands for local retailers and supermarkets and is currently fully booked till 2023.
