Domestic Australian cheese taking over European imports due to COVID-19

A recent spike in the cost of importing cheese from Europe is giving the local Austrliant cheese producers a rare competitive edge. There has been an increased demand for domestic aussie cheese in the past few weeks. The lack of international flights and logisitics coming into the country has pushed up the cost of imported cheese by approximately three to four times. Hard cheeses, such as Parmesan and Romano are still being shipped into the country and take around one month to arrive. For soft cheese varieties like Brie and Camembert quicker transportation required through an aeroplane.
