Canadian oyster demand is slowly picking up after a rough spring due to COVID. Oysters, more so than other seafood, are almost exclusively consumed by the restaurant or foodservice industries, and demand was crippled due to mandatory lockdowns and social distancing shuttering restaurants, hotels, and tourism throughout the spring and early summer. As things normalize, domestic sales are slowly improving with the re-opening of restaurants.
