Ecuadorian Red Dragon Fruit Production Increases While Yellow Dragon Fruit Production Remains Stable in W48

W48 presented a turning point for the offering prices of red dragon fruit in Ecuador. An increase in production due to the peak season is forecasted to drop the current EXW prices of USD 2.8/kg to USD 2.2/kg. On the other hand, yellow dragon fruit prices remain stable at EXW USD 3/kg, with a forecasted peak season in early January 2023. Weather conditions such as cold temperatures during the night continue to influence the productivity of plantations, possibly affecting the expected harvest of early W49, with a 10-15% decrease in production despite the peak season.
