Given the current high prices of imported chicken feed, Malaysia's grain corn industry will be expanded to meet the current demand. Presently, the supply of grain corn for livestock feed, especially for the poultry industry, depends entirely on imported sources, which means that whenever the producer increases the price, the price of local chickens and eggs, with an increase in the input price of chicken feed, will increase accordingly. To strengthen the domestic grain corn production, the government and industrial players must work together transparently, effectively, and efficiently.
