Export Sales of Peruvian Mango Were Affected by Transport Strikes in December 2022

Since the beginning of December 2022, Peruvian growers and exporters of fresh mango were affected by transport strikes. By the end of W50, growers reported a decrease of 30% in export sales compared to the volume exported in the prior 2021/22 season. The financial impact concerns growers as the volume not exported could not be allocated in the local market.
