Exports of the Turkish Aegean region's cereals, pulses, and oilseeds increased by 142% in 4 years. Since 2020, marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, the food supply has taken a much more critical position in the cereals, pulses, oilseeds, and products sector. The sector's exports, which were USD 7.29B in Turkey in 2020, reached USD 10B at the end of the first quarter of 2022. The union's exports increased by 142 percent in 4 years, reaching USD 770M from USD 318M. Iraq, Syria, and the USA were in the top three in exports.
