Soursop trees flower most months of the year but the peak of flowering is May and June in the country. The fruit ripens in November and December, just in time for Christmas season. Thus, farmers, particularly in the Mindanao region, are in the progress of tendering soursop trees to be able to produce quality products in 2020. They are hoping that the thunderstorms and typhoons would lessen so that more soursop fruits can be harvested in good condition. They are projecting that there will be a higher demand due to Covid-19 pandemic as soursop fruit possesses health benefits that can cure different ailments.
