Starting from this week, the first navel oranges are being picked in Australia, for both domestic and export purposes. The news comes as positive for the growers, who normally expect the fruit to be fully tree-ripened by the first or second week of June.
Fruits are planned to be packed at the beginning of next week (May 31) and be shipped by the end of the same week, to destinations including Indonesia, Malaysia, among others.
