Fish meal prices still on rising in Portugal

During the first month of 2022, and as already expected, the prices for a fish meal used in Aquaculture had an average rise of 4,4%. Seabream’s fish meal price, one of the reference prices, was EUR 1.140,39 per MT at the beginning of the year and is now at EUR 1.189,47 per MT. Comparing January 2022 with January 2021, Seabream’s fish meal is 17,41% higher. Experts advise that prices will still go up until, at least, the end of the 2nd quarter. After that period, prices can rest a bit on its rising trend.
