Strong start for exports from the Aegean: 30% increase in the first quarter

According to the Aegean Exporters' Union data, the share of the Aegean in the total export increase of the sector was noteworthy. Approximately 20% of the export of fresh fruits, vegetables, and their products carried out throughout Turkey was done from the Aegean Region. Exports of fruit and vegetable products, however, declined by 6% during the same period, reaching 510 million dollars. Thus, the main source of growth was the export of fresh produce.
