It is estimated that about 559 families in Tete province have been affected by the floods. However, due to economic stress and nourishment, certain agriculture relying on families still risk cultivating. Over 1400 tons of various agriculture products have been lost due to the rising of the Zambeze River water level after discharges from the Cahora Bassa Damn were reported. The floods affected 640 ha of agricultural lands, growing maize, bean, and horticulture products.
