In W43, Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares) dominated fresh catches at Azores auctions in Portugal, with over 26 metric tons (mt) unloaded, fetching an average price of USD 3.82 per kilogram (EUR 3.51/kg) for larger sizes of +40kg and 10 to 30kg. Horse Mackerel (Trachurus trachurus) followed with 15 mt, trading at USD 1.57/kg (EUR 1.44/kg) for typical sizes of 12 to 50 pieces (pcs) per kg, while Mackerel (Scomber scombrus) recorded 8 mt with average prices of USD 1.54/kg (EUR 1.42/kg) and sizes of 4 to 6 pcs per kg.
