In W34, Norway recorded a 13% week-on-week (WoW) increase in fresh salmon exports, particularly within the 3 to 6 kilogram (kg) Superior Salmon category, resulting in an additional 2,875 metric tons (mt) compared to the previous week. There was a slight decline of 1.7% WoW on the pricing side, bringing the price down to USD 6.76/kg. Expectations indicate that these lower prices will persist for the next two to three weeks, with a potential uptick anticipated in late Sep-24 or early Oct-24, supported by future contracts negotiated for Sep-24 to Dec-24.
