Ghana’s cocoa production hit a record high

Ghana’s cocoa production has hit a record high of over 1,033,000 MT with FOB price of USD 2,546.41 per ton as of Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 ahead of the closure of its 2020/21 cocoa season on September 30th, 2021. Ghana is currently processing close to 40% of its cocoa beans into cocoa paste, cocoa butter, cocoa cake, cocoa powder, chocolate, etc., and is projected to process up to 50% by 2025.
