The price of giant octopus has been rising in recent weeks within the Eastern part of Indonesia. All local suppliers in the area are purchasing raw materials more aggressively compared to the past months, which led to the increasing price of the octopus. It also indicates that there has been a slight improvement in market demands in the global market. The finished product of a 90% net weight, 10% glaze, 0.5–3kg giant octopus-cleaned flower form was previously sold at USD 5.50–USD 8.20/kg, but in W47 it is being offered at USD 5.80–8.60/kg CFR EU major ports basis.
