Grapefruit Outlook in Japan Towards the End of 2022

In Japan, grapefruit from South Africa arrived in the middle of October 2022, and Australian grapefruit is expected to arrive in the upcoming weeks. In W43, the grapefruit stock in Japan was low, but speculations indicate an increase in the grapefruit supply until the end of W52 due to the entry of supply from the US, Mexico, Israel, and Turkey in November and December. The large grapefruit entry might cause an oversupply as demand is stable since sales solely depend on channels like food services and retailers that currently keep store-shelve supply at a minimum.
