Guatemalan coffee beans export voume to the US And China increased

Guatemalan coffee exports to the United States grew from 37% to 50% of total exports during the 2020-2021 season, whereas coffee exports to China grew from 3% to 7%.
It is forecast that Canada´s import volume of the Guatemalan coffee beans will grow for the 2021-2022 crop since the “broker system” for purchases is being replaced by direct contact with producers and exporters.
The trend for quality coffees is growing and the price is expected to remain high because of Brazil´s weather related loss of production.
