As summer season starts the temperature is expected to increase for the next few weeks. On 8 April, the Ministry of Agriculture warned farmers about heat weaves with temperatures that might reach 42 degrees celsius, this can create sun burns and dry soils mainly in tropical areas. Main crops that can be affected are tropical fruits, corn and vegetables. The Ministry of Agriculture recommended farmers to protect their crops from the sun and use agricultural technologies to maintain high humidity levels in the soils. Preventive measures are important so the production of crops doesn't get affected.
