High demand from South Korean buyers causing an increase in Pakistani crab prices

South Korea is the biggest importer of crabs from Pakistan. Among the Pakistani crab varieties, blue swimming crab is very common in the South Korean market. Currently, blue swimming crab is in season in Pakistan and the season is expected to last till the end of April. The demand from South Korean buyers for Pakistani blue swimming crab as well as other crab varieties is on a rise which has caused a jump in the prices already. By the mid of April, when the season moves towards an end, the prices are further expected to increase by almost 50% due to high demand and low supply.
