Costa Rican sea-farm companies located in the Central Pacific ocean are continually exploring new areas where oceanic and seabed conditions meet the proper requirements for red snapper farming. The high proliferation of aquatic microalgae in the Costa Rican central pacific ocean from week 39 to week 41 is causing a decrease in oxygen dissolved in water which directly affects the number of fish. Moreover, microalgae toxin affects fish skin and gills, causing considerable productivity loss.
