Hot House Tomatoes in Canada are Outperforming Field Tomatoes

Canadian tomato crops in hothouses have a consistent supply availability. Production levels are forecasted to remain stable, with overall good quality and flavor, while field-grown crops had losses due to abnormal weather. However, prices for hothouse tomatoes have increased by 5-7% WoW, from around USD 61/25lbs to USD 63.50/25lbs, due to increased demand and diminishing supply heading into winter.
