The imported salmon market in Vietnam showed signs of recovery before the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday following several months of price declines and sluggish consumption. Imported salmon prices stood at USD 6.69 per kilogram (VND 165,000/kg) before the holiday and increased to USD 6.90 to 7.30/kg (VND 170,000 to 180,000/kg) during W7. Sales of fresh Atlantic salmon were brisk during the festive season, while the recovery of frozen Coho salmon sales was slower.
