The Lagos State Government through its Ministry of Agriculture is appealing to growers of Ofada rice in the Southwestern part of the country especially in Ogun State to ensure that Ofada rice is packaged to meet international standards for export to Europe and America. Ofada rice is mainly eaten at classy parties and in decent demand due to its high nutritional value. Currently, Ofada rice is sold at USD 3.90 per kg in the market.
