Increasing demand of Tangelo during the 1st Semester

The first semester 2020 had very positive results for Tangelo. Their exports reached up to 5,890 mt, 32% more than the same period 2019, mainly for changes in the consumer habits that where looking to increase their immune system.

A higher supply of the Peruvian tangelo led to a reduction in the international prices up to FOB US$ 0.90 per kilo, 18% less than 2019. Just few markets presented higher rates such as Ecuador, US$ 1.42 per kg, and Russia, US$ 1.25 per kg.

Most important markets and their FOB prices per kilo were respectively Netherlands (57% share) with US$ 0.90 and US (22% share) with US$ 0.87.
