Increasing Farm Gate Prices of Fresh Longan in Thailand on December 12, 2022

Longan price at the farm gate increased from USD 1.10/kg (THB 38/kg) on December 8, 2022 (Longan diameter bigger than 28 mm) to USD 1.21/kg (THB 42/kg) on December 12, 2022. It is about a 10.53% increase which is a side effect of the limited longan crops in cultivated areas and fighting of exporters who have to close their orders (from China, Indonesia, and India) that buyers must use their imported longans quota within December 31, 2022. From this increase, longan in plastic basket 11.5kg price is already USD 15.65 EXW packing house on December 12, 2022.
