Sweet potatoes are gaining success among European customers, not only for their health benefits but also because of their typical taste. This root vegetable has proved so popular in starred restaurants in Europe that there was an apparent increase in demand from importers and retailers for the past five years. Exported products are heading mainly to France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria.
