Dried prunes fall short in Italy

As bad weather conditions have heavily affected the national supply in the late spring of 2021, dried prunes have become scarce in Italy. Buyers are looking for extra supplies from California. Still, the store can not keep up with the demand even with the additional supply of other origins. The production has been slightly lower as there is a common tendency to replace prunes crops with other fruits.
