The Jamaican government has stepped up to support the country's agriculture industry which is suffering from both lower demand due to the significant fall in tourism and droughts that have limited water supply for farmers. This includes a $240 million COVID agriculture buyback program for farmers who lost sales to the hospitality industry and $24 million to provide water trucking services.
