In Japan, a stock of less than 3 weeks' worth of imported lemons was reported at a warehouse in early November. Therefore importers with disposable stock are attempting to attract potential buyers. However, the supply chain of imported lemons in the wholesale market is not responding positively due to stock difficulties in their storage, especially for small sizes like 165 counts. Importers have announced new lemon entries from the US and Turkey in late November and December 2022. After the announcement, the wholesale market forecasted a higher purchase price due to the weak Japanese Yen.
