In some areas of the Baixo Vouga region of Portugal, fruits are showing signs of poor pollination, because the temperature is not dropping enough. There were signs of stress in the crop, with a halt in the development of the fruit in response to the high temperatures of July and August. This situation was reversed after a few days of milder temperatures and higher humidity levels.

The hot and dry weather facilitated the control of health problems, with no significant record of PSA9-4 attacks (the bacterium has limited activity when temperatures rise above 25º C). It is estimated a productivity 5% lower than that achieved in the previous campaign.
