Lamb prices slightly decrease in the UK

In the current week the GB liveweight lamb prices decreased by USD 6.75 compared to the previous one, getting at an average of USD 355.36 per kg. The most significant drop was observed for heavier lambs.

Total lamb throughputs at the auction markets were estimated at 93,900 head, 11% less than last week and 10% less comparing to week 3 of the previous year.
The deadweight prices continued to go down by 15 January to an average of USD 811.80 per kg, USD 17.56 less than the week before. Still, it was USD 43.22 above the same week of the last year.

Lamb kill was estimated at 192,200 head for the week, down 1% from the week before and 9% less compared to the same period of the previous year.
