Bulgarian winegrowers are expecting to have a lower grape yield with this harvest. The yield is expected to go down by 20%- 25% in comparison to 2019 due to droughts in the country. The total production output is expected to be around 300 KMT grapes and 100-120 KMT are estimated to go to wine production. The quality expectation for wine is higher this season despite the lower yield as the dry weather conditions have enabled the grapes to contain perfect sugar levels for wine fermentation. Bulgarian grapes are planned to be exported mainly to Romania, Greece, and Croatia.
